Awards Executive Committee

The Awards Executive Committee (AEC) is an ad hoc committee that selects the AMIA New Investigator Award, Donald A.B. Lindberg Award for Innovation in Informatics, Don Eugene Detmer Award for Health Policy Contributions in Informatics, and the Virginia K. Saba Informatics Award. Members of the committee are: AMIA Chair-elect, who also serves as chair of the AEC. If no Chair-elect is in office, then the past-Chair will chair the AEC; chair of the AMIA Awards Committee; chair of the ACMI Awards Committee; a member of the Board selected by the Chair of the Board; and a past-president selected by the Chair of the Board.
