Meetings Committee
The direct responsibilities of the Meetings Committee are
- to carry out ongoing overall monitoring of AMIA meetings to ensure that they meet high standards of scholarship and professionalism;
- to assure that the content of meetings are consistent with the strategic foci and direction of the association as set forth by the Board of Directors; (c) to monitor policies and procedures that are described in this Manual and to recommend changes in those policies and procedures when appropriate;
- to consider and recommend to the Board of Directors changes in the structure, format, number, or scope of AMIA meetings in response to member needs, market forces, or requests from the Board; and
- to consider, and advise the AMIA staff on, potential changes in the techniques or technologies used to conduct AMIA meetings.
